8 day/7 night travel and dive package in Zanzibar and Pemba, Tanzania
Both Zanzibar and Pemba Islands are stunning locations with a rich history and culture, scenic beaches and landscapes, and spectacular flora and fauna. While Pemba is more serene and isolated, Zanzibar is more lively and bustling, we will have the opportunities to visit both on this one-week trip.
These two islands belong to Zanzibar archipelago, known as The Spice Islands, offering visitors and divers great chances to immerse themselves in nature and Indian Ocean marine life. Any time of year is a good time to visit. Due to its proximity to the equator, the climate is perpetually warm and tropical, without the defined winter and summer months that people in north or south hemisphere are accustomed to.
Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Zanzibar International Airport. Transfer to hotel in middle of Stone Town. A maze of narrow, twisting streets and alleyways, Stone Town oozes history from every pore. A trading centre for 2,000 years, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its wide range of architectural styles, eclectic collection of languages and the tastes, smells and sights of many cultures – Asian, Arab, African and European. We will spend the first night in Stone Town.
Day 2
Stone Town to Paje Beach Visit the Prison Island and a spice farm, we will then be transferred to Paje Beach, on the east side of the island. Distance approximately 50km. We will spend three nights at a seaside resort on Paje Beach.
Day 3
We will do two ocean dives today. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 4
We will do two ocean dives today. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 5
In the afternoon, a 25-minute flight will bring us to Pemba Island. Upon arrival, transfer to seaside resort for three nights.
Day 6
Pemba is one of the most unique and unexplored islands of the Indian Ocean. There are very few tourists have been dived in Pemba. The surrounding ocean is famous for its pristine shallow reefs as well as thrilling current dives and deep drop-offs.
Day 7
More dives. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 8
Transfer to airport and fly to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam to connect the onward flight to head home. End of an amazing island visit and dive holiday.
