Where is Sizakala Camp Situated?

Peacefully secluded in the coastal forest in Bhanga Nek, on the shores of the Kosi Bay’s 3rd lake, 2 km from the Bhanga Nek beach, Sizakala Camp is where Dive Africa’s Sodwana Bay divers based for exploring the beautiful beach in the country’s northeast corner as a side trip.

Weather at Bhanga Nek is good all year round with hot summers and mild winters, warm Indian Ocean water and a tropical atmosphere.

The area is accessible only by 4×4, which keeps away the crowds, allowing you to enjoy your holiday in peace.

Sizakala Camp is the ideal base from which to explore the Bhanga Nek area

During summer months, guests can take a guided tour to Bangha Nek beach to watch the female leatherback and loggerhead turtles coming out of the surf to lay their eggs on the beach or, approximately two months later, see the baby turtles or hatchlings emerging at night and making for the safety of the sea.

Amazing landmarks such as Black Rock, Dog Point, Castle Rock, Lala Nek, Island Rock and Mabibi are also accessible from there.

Canoe trips, Raphia palm walks and spear-fishing experiences can all be arranged at the camp.The area is extremely safe, local residents are friendly and helpful.

The camp is very clean, with four furnished rondavels, a large kitchen and dining area, and shady camping sites in the forest. A generator provides electricity from 6pm to 10pm, since the camp is all in nature and there is no electricity connected.

A clean ablution has flush toilets and showers’ hot water is provided by wood-burning geyser which gives a true romantic feeling of being up close to nature!
